Your air.
Your privacy.

This policy covers the rebuilt Breathe app, version 4.0, provided by OverProtect LLC.

No account, advertising or analytics

Breathe does not require an account. We do not operate a service that collects app usage, personal profiles or location histories. The app contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

Location and city search

Location access is optional and used to select a nearby air-quality reporting area. City search and reverse geocoding use Apple services; search terms or coordinates may be processed by Apple to fulfill those requests under Apple's privacy policy. You can deny or revoke location permission in Settings and search manually.

Air-quality data

The app downloads public AirNow files over the internet. Network providers receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, when serving a request. Breathe does not send your precise location to AirNow to download these files; nearby readings are selected on your device.

On-device storage and notifications

Saved places, cached readings and alert preferences are stored locally. Selected readings may be shared with your paired Apple Watch and app widgets through Apple's device and app-group mechanisms. Notifications are scheduled locally. Delete saved places by swiping their cards, and manage notification permissions in Settings.

Support and this website

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide, and use it to respond. This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes connection information to deliver and protect the site. These pages contain no analytics scripts or advertising.

Contact and changes

For privacy questions or requests concerning support correspondence, email [email protected]. We will update this policy if the app's practices change.
